This look is just something I came up with today after explaining the concept of drag makeup with a potential client. It's not quite drag because I am a girl (obvs, lol),but it is definitely drag inspired.

My Daily Skincare Regimen (Fall/Winter)

Hello all! I decided to publish a post about my cold-weather skincare regimen,because I do change it by season to keep up with my skin's needs. I don't really have problem skin and I always get tons of compliments on how it looks. I'm very lucky in that it's very clear and even and I can forgo foundation sometimes.
My skin tends to get very dry in the cold-weather months, so I have to keep it moisturized and I also have to keep my pores clear as the skin on my nose tends to become congested.

I like to use a cream cleanser in the Winter.
I use Garnier The Ultimate Cleanser 3-Way Clean. It is a cleanser,exfoliating scrub,and purifying mask, all in one. I used it as a cleanser twice a day, and exfoliant three times a week and a mask twice a week. It really helps keep my skin smooth and my pores clear.

On the days that I'm not using the purifying mask, I use the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Instant Oatmeal Mask to help hydrate my face.

After cleansing,exfoliating or washing any mask off of my face, I mist my face with toner. I use Aveda Botanical Kinetics Toning Mist. It helps restore the ph balance in the skin.

Next, I apply First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream.

Finally, I apply Aveda Green Science Eye Cream and EOS Lip Balm.

Step-By-Step

Cleanse.
Tone.
Mask.
Tone.
Moisturizer.
Eye cream.
Lip balm.

or if I am exfoliating that day:

Cleanser.

How many times do you wash your face daily? Once in the morning,once at night.

What skin type do you have? Normal/Combination...it gets a bit dry in the winter.

What is your current facial wash? Aveda Botanical Kinetics Cream Cleanser (I use the gel version in the Summer.)

Do you exfoliate? Yes. It's mandatory for my skin.

What is your favorite skincare line? Aveda. I went to an Aveda Institute.

What moisturizer do you use? Aveda Tourmaline Charged Moisturizer

Do you have freckles? No.

Do you use eye cream? Yes. Mandatory

Do you or did you have acne prone skin? Never did,lucky me.

Did you ever have to use Pro-activ? Nope.


Do you use sunscreen? Yes. Especially on my face.

Do you have regular facial treatments? No :(

Do you spray water on your face during summer? I spray chilled toner on it.


One skincare routine that is a MUST for you? Toning. It's an esthiology school habit. Every time I rinse something off of my face,I must spray toner on it.


What foundation do you use? MUFE HD in 160, Urban Decay Naked Skin in 6.5, MAC Studio Tech in NC43

How about concealer? MAC Studio Finish in NC42, MUFE 5 Colour Camo Palette

What do you think of false eyelashes? Love them

Did you know that you are supposed to change your mascara every 3 months? Yes but I don't always do it with my more expensive mascaras. I do stock up on cheapy ones though.

What brand of mascara do you use? Benefit They're Real!, and one from Nicka K.

Sephora or Ulta? Both.


Do you have a MAC pro-card? No. But I will soon!


Do you use make up base/primer for the eyes? Yes. Always.


For the face? I used tinted moisturizer


What is your favorite eyeshadow (color or shade)? I love Urban Decay eyeshadows. The Naked Palette and the Vice palette. I can't choose just one shade.

Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner? Pencil,liquid and gel/cream.


How often do you poke your eyes with a pencil eyeliner? Never.

What do you think of pigment eye shadows? I have actually never used them.

Do you use mineral make-up? No.

What is your favorite lipstick? MAC Rebel

How about lip gloss? Bare Minerals

What is your favorite blush to use? MAC Dollymix and NARS Foreplay Palette

Do you buy your makeup on Ebay? No

Do you like drugstore makeup? Yes. Some brands are better than others.

Did you ever consider taking make-up classes? Yes. I'm not sure if I will though.

Are you clumsy in putting on makeup? No

Name a makeup crime that you hate? I hate when people wear colors that don't flatter them just because they are trendy.

Do you like colorful shades of makeup (lipstick, eyeshadow) or neutral ones? I like both in balance.

Which celebrity always has great make up? Brandy, Kim Kardashian, Emma Watson.


If you could leave the house using just ONE make up item, what would you use? Lipgloss


Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on? Yes. I do it all the time.

Do you think you look good without any make up on? Yes. I have clear skin and real eyebrows so...lol

What do you think of make up? I love it. Perfect way for me to express my creativity

Guess What I Got Today...

I got it a day early, right after my Sephora interview. The Urban Decay Vice Palette. I told the color consultant that I was looking for it and she told me they weren't out yet but if I wanted to buy it she would get it for me. Yay!
I wasn't originally looking to buy it,but whenever I go into Sephora or Ulta I get so overwhelmed,I just don't know what to buy. I had looked at it online and read reviews and watched videos about it and I thought it was beautiful but I was unsure of how it would fit into my kit. I'm glad I got it because you really do have to see and swatch it for yourself to appreciate it. The colors in it are supposed to be all new but I have read that they are all slightly tweaked versions of other UD colors. I don't mind this because other than my Naked palette, I only have 8 Vintage UD colors. At $59 the palette is a great value and it even comes with a dual-ended Good Karma eyeshadow brush,and I happen to love UD brushes.
The packaging is very cute and functional. It has a NARS-like rubberized case with a jeweled UD logo,a push button opening,and a mirror that stands on its own. This is important because in other UD palettes,the mirror just flops down and is useless you prop it up or are actually holding the palette.
